As announced in this post, I’ve animated the sequence, with time replacing the Y axis. You’ve got to see this full screen for the best effect.
This is probably one of the most surreal images that the video-to-slit-shutter technique has produced so far: Can’t wait to see what it looks like animated. UPDATE – the wait is over.

I’m going to have to rethink the time-slicing terminology, as it’s already commonly used for Matrix-like effects (suspended fight scenes, etc.). Any suggestions? Anyway, here is the animated version of the previous post’s first image:
